Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program Director
Full-time Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program Director position for the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission. This position is housed in Armstrong County at the office located in Shelocta, PA. This position is responsible for providing oversight of work involving community development & organization to include schools in order to implement the comprehensive prevention plan in compliance with the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. This position is responsible for a variety of managerial functions to include staff hiring, training, fiscal management of the prevention budget and associated grants management & reporting, data gathering, and evaluation of community needs and resources, oversight of the County Coalitions and specialized Committees to address identified drug and alcohol high risk problems.
Qualifications: One year as a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist; OR a bachelor's degree in Health Education, Education, the Social or Behavioral Sciences or related fields and two years of progressively responsible experience in prevention activities, OR any equivalent combination of experience and training. Supervisory and/or grant experience a plus. Applicant should be proficient in Microsoft programs. Candidate must have or be able to obtain Act 33/34 child abuse clearances. Salary commensurate with experience.
